Angie graduated with high honors (3.98 GPA, Magna Cum Laude) from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, University of South Carolina. Angie speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, the Queen's English, and American slang!

I came to the U.S. from Malaysia as a foreign student in 1980 with two suitcases. I didn't know a single soul in the U.S. Today, I have friends scattered all over the U.S. and the world. In this great land of opportunity, where you can go as far as your hard work takes you, I've had the privilege of working with six major college textbook publishers. I've worked in various capacities as an associate editor, book development editor, marketing manager, and publisher's representative.
The Statue of Liberty was the first sight I saw from the plane that brought me to New York City, my port of entry, as her words rang in my ears, "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free...."
I've never forgotten my humble beginnings and the rewards of a good work ethic, perseverance, integrity, commitment, tenacity, and the value of a hard-earned dollar. These are the indelible principles that are ingrained into my psyche that I will be bringing to your projects.
